Sonia Allinson-Penny

Sonia is the founder of the Human Factor Health Check (HFHC). She developed the methodology in 2019, upon invitation by an investor, and has six years of experience of applying it across Europe.

A psychometric expert, with over 20 years experience as Head of global functions in the field of Human Resources and Operations, Sonia now runs a consulting business based out of SW France. She saw a gap in the market to provide investors and founders with data backed insights into the human factors behind successful scale-ups.

Sonia expanded the team in 2022, with trusted Associates who can blend science and art in deploying the HFHC.

Sonia is qualified in Hogan’s HDI, MVP and HDS and SHL’s Occupational Personality Questionnaire and 360 feedback. She works solely in the English language and travels regularly for work purposes across Europe and beyond.

Marcela Schrank Fialova

An organisational psychologist, Marcela brings expertise from her focus on human capability building in the fields of AI, data analytics and digitalisation. She combines her ongoing work with large corporates, with being an experienced Associate in HFHC assessments for small and medium size enterprises. She enjoys the blend of using objective data from the assessments and surveys, with the one-on-one interviews which bring the data to life and gives individuals an opportunity to add their flavour to the input and results. She is most proud of the requests that she has received from Founders and their teams for additional guidance and insights, post the due diligence process.

Ian McDonald

Ian brings 25 years experience in the European financial services industry in the UK, Spain and France, combining responsibilities as a profit centre and business unit leader with 12 years of expertise in talent assessment.

He has extensive experience in the fields of leadership assessment and development, including providing 360 degree feedback. He has worked at graduate, manager and executive talent levels.

Ian is qualified in Genos Emotional Intelligence, Hogan HDI, MVP and HDS, SHL’s Occupational Personality Questionnaire and 360 feedback and can work in English or French.

Based in Paris he runs his own consulting business, in addition to managing HFHC assessments.

Clare Haig

Clare is an ex-Accenture consultant, entrepreneur and business owner.

She’s passionate about helping small businesses succeed. She excels at problem solving, there’s no operational challenge that she has not found a creative and effective solution for, as the HFHC team has scaled the business.

She has project managed the automation of the back-end processes for due diligence assessments, researched the legal boundaries for the licensing of the HFHC approach and has overseen communications aspects such as our flyer and powerpoint deck to improve the aesthetics.

A UK citizen based in Southwest France, she works in both English and French.
